Full Crowd For Chamber Networking Event

Chamber_062714AThe long-awaited Multi-Chamber Networking Event, organized by the Roslyn Chamber of Commerce, turned out to be a smashing success as over 450 people from 12 Chamber of Commerces met on Tuesday, June 17 at The Muttontown Club in East Norwich to profile their products and share ideas on how to improve the business climate in Nassau County.

The event, sponsored by CareConnect, drew members from the following Chambers: Roslyn, Farmingdale, Glen Cove, Great Neck, Hicksville, Manhasset, Merrick, New Hyde Park, Port Washington, Syosset-Woodbury, Wantagh and Williston Park.

“What a gorgeous venue we had,” said Roslyn Chamber of Commerce President Lonnie Goldman in an email to chamber members. “Seventy vendor tables were set up. If you didn’t get a chance to visit with them all, please consider doing business with them. A very special thank you to all the volunteers who gave of their time to network and/or man their vendor tables for making the event run smoothly.

“Without CareConnect’s sponsorship, or from those who sponsored the event by purchasing the logos on the shopping bags or paying to insert their literature inside those bags, this event would not have been possible,” Goldman added. In addition to the chamber, Over 50 Fair was a Roslyn area business that served as a sponsor by purchasing the logos on the shopping bags. Over 50 Fair, along with Mim’s Restaurant and Anton Community Newspapers were just a few of the local businesses that donated gifts to the Chinese Auction. Roslyn area vendors who attended the event included: Douglas Elliman, East Hills Chiropractor, Roslyn Savings Bank, Temple Sinai of Roslyn, Junior League of Long Island, Karp Loshak LTC Insurance Solutions and Tres Belle Living.

Also at the event was North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth. The event gave Bosworth the chance to meet with more than a dozen local Chamber officials that were in attendance.
