LI Elite Announces BBBSLI As 2014 Charity Partner

bbLong Island Elite (LIE), an organization dedicated to fostering the career and personal growth and development of Long Island’s young business professionals and the region’s emerging business leaders, announced that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) has been selected as its 2014 Charity Partner of the Year.  Part of the mission of the LIE is to support local non-profit organizations in the Long Island community. This year the LIE will focus its charitable efforts on raising funds and awareness to support the BBBSLI.

“Big Brother Big Sisters of Long Island is most gratified to be selected LIE’s 2014 Charity Partner. Our organization depends on the generosity and support of individuals and groups within the community.  We thank the business leaders and professionals in the LIE for the efforts they are planning to put forth this year on behalf of BBBSLI,” said Mark Cox, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. 

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters Long Island “is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.” The organization matches children between the ages of 7 and 14 with volunteers age 18 and over. BBBSLI will be honoring the LIE as the “Organization of the Year” at its 2014 Presidential Gala to be held on October 2, 2014.
